The ARCH is a high cut helmet with strong ballistic resistance. It is designed for extreme conditions and is NIJ-certified lab tested to stop the latest and most advanced threats from both fragments and small arms up to .44 magnum, .357 Sig and many other lesser, common threats. Our chosen materials and process excels at greatly reducing back face deformation (BFD) and the risk of trauma associated with a ballistic strike.
The ARCH is constructed in Europe with high-tenacity and high-performance Kevlar aramid fibers from Dupont, making it an extreme durable helmet that can withstand harsh use.
The ARCH is trusted by special forces, military, law enforcement and civilians in over 26 countries. It is designed, manufactured and finished 100% in the EU.
The PGD ARCH is 100% designed, sourced, made and finished in Europe through our purchase and control of all materials, from the raw fibers to the final product. This ensures a stable and quality process throughout the entire supply chain. Their priority is your safety, and they believe in providing you with a helmet that you can trust to do its job effectively, every time.
They understand that choosing a helmet is not a decision to be taken lightly, which is why they stand behind their product with complete confidence. PGD guarantees their ARCH helmet to provide you with a superior level of protection and performance, any time your life may depend on it, no matter what your needs may be. This bulletproof helmet is designed to be adaptable to your specific needs.
PRODUCT FEATURES
EXCELLENT BALLISTIC FEATURES
The ARCH helmet begin life in Switzerland as raw Kevlar fibers from DuPont. Dupont is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of Aramid fiber. They are converted to Aramid layers by Europe’s premier textiles research and innovation center Saati S.p.A. in Italy before pressing into the known and trusted shell.
PGD uses a proprietary pre-preq lamination process which allows them to make a multi-hit ballistic helmet that is extremely durable with a low weight compared to ballistic threats that the helmet stops.
The ARCH helmet weighs only M(1.30 kg), L(1.35 kg), XL(1.39 kg) for the complete helmet system. This makes the ARCH helmet, one of the lightest aramid ballistic helmets on the market. The superior weight-to-protection ratio allows for a greater mobility during use without sacrificing the ballistic performance.
When a bulletproof helmet stops a projectile or fragment, a standard helmet is affected in a 130mm area around the impact, which is also called Blunt force trauma.
The ARCH ballistic helmet is only affected in an area up to 75 mm. around the impact. This feature significantly mitigates the level of blunt force trauma experienced by the wearer, reducing the degree to which the helmet deforms and increasing its ability to absorb the bullet impact.
An ARCH helmet reduces the depth by up to 50% (according to HPW-TP-0401.01B IIIA), where the trauma is on average 11.2 mm against a 9 mm. It provides significantly greater safety and the chance of surviving the trauma from a gunshot is greater.
ROBUST AND RUGGED
PGD’s proprietary aramid composition of the helmet allows it to perform the same in both ambient and wet environments as well as in extreme heat, cold and humid conditions without changing any performance on the aramid shell.
Moreover, they have applied a layer of Polyurea spray paint around the entirety of the helmet which increases its durability and resistance to environmental factors such as rain, oil, and similar liquids.
The ARCH ballistic properties will not fade over time, ensuring long-lasting protection for the user.
PERFECT FIT
10 PAD MEMORY FOAM
PGD ARCH helmet is a high cut helmet that provides space to wear hearing protection or communication equipment without compromising on functionality.
The helmet can be easily adjusted to your needs. The ARCH 10-pad system will shape to your head in 2-3 seconds and feels like a “flying” helmet because it fits snugly without feeling tight. This is achieved through the implementation of PGD’s proprietary PGD-10 pad memory foam technology, which is specially designed to reduce the impact of blunt force trauma from shots while also providing unbeatable comfort.Originally developed by NASA to protect against impacts, this memory foam technology is second to none.
Moreover, the foam pads is easily replaceable and can be attached using Velcro, making maintenance easy.
BOA DIAL FIT SYSTEM
The ARCH helmet comes standard with a high quality suspension system with BOA dial, ITW Nexus and Duraflex buckles for a quick, secure fit.
The BOA Fit dial system rapidly stabilizes the helmet to the head and can be quickly adjusted via the rotary knob.
BOA provides a perfomance fit at the highest possible level and comes with a lifetime guarantee against failure!
In addition the retention system is adjusted with the 4 Duraflex plastic buckles so that they have the correct length for your head.
RAIL AND SHROUD SYSTEM
The front shroud and rails are made with a unique polymer + glass-fiber composition that offers higher tensile strength and lighter weight than all common die-cast metals to include Aluminum, Magnesium and Zinc.
The front shroud is compatible with the Wilcox G24, Norotos, Cadex and similar night vision mounts.
PGD’s rails are compatible with the following headset adapters: 3m Peltor, Sordin, Ops-core AMP arms, Earmor, Unity Tactical MARK 2.0 and any similar system. Additional accessories can be attached to the helmet via provided Velcro or the rail system, as it is designed to follow the industry standard for picatinny rails.
